The Blacksmith

Wow!  Wowowowowowow!  The colors and the painterly style on this are stupendous!  The way you've complemented the oranges with the blues is masterful.  And I'll say it again about the painterly-ness of this: your strokes look almost casual, like you had a lot of fun drawing this.  I just read your artist's description and I will say that I didn't really see that the minotaur was actually female.  I think so many of the lines on her are so strong and angular that my immediate impression was of a male blacksmith.  It is hard to say what would have made her look more feminine without crossing into the turbid waters of assigned gender roles.  Perhaps something as simple as a bra or covering of the chest would have made that more clear?  Anyway, the overall painting is really wonderful and I can't wait to see more from you like this.
