Description

I got inspired by the magnificent drawing Balaa did of Maquenda, with all the beautiful feathers and I've been wanting to draw her with them too ever since...

For me, this drawing represents a lot of memories from my childhood. I used to be obsessed with birds and I would draw parrots all the time, so I gave her these face markings that aras often have. I've also raised quite a few birds when I was little, for example a little barn swallow that I still miss dearly..>:

Dandelions also hold a special place in my memories, as I used to play a lot in huge fields with them and make necklaces with my sister. (And I would eat them too xD) Also, who hasn't blown them to see how many children they would get when they get older?!

Also, when I saw a bumblebee awaken after each Winter, I thought it was the same one each year and thought my little friend had returned.

Yeah I know it's very silly and I might think too much back to my childhood sometimes..>':

When I was little dandelions meant a bunch to me too, but we didn't blow them to see how many children we were going to get, the trick was, if you blew hard enough to get all the little seeds off the stem, you got a wish. Me and my friends used to change the rules a bit as we got older, if you blew all the seeds off, you got to make one person do something, or "wish" for them to do something. One time on a cold-ish day, I "wished" for my brother to jump into the pool.. it was hilarious. XD It's alright to think about your childhood in my mind.. I think about mine all the time, I think back on my fondest memories from two years ago, four years ago, 12 years ago, it makes no difference to me .u. it's just a happy memory.
